Index revealed that the West Midlands surpassed the national average with a 7.4 per cent increase in trade documentation. Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) figures showed that 7,832 export documents were issued. Sukie Duhaney, GBCC head of international documentation, said: “We are delighted to have contributed to the West Midlands outstripping the rest of the country. Firms in the region are responding to the campaign to encourage businesses to export.”
