Hewett Recruitment LAUNCHES BESPOKE TRAINING SERVICE

Once we have secured the right people for our organisations, we need to offer them the training and development they need to reach their full potential. Investing in our people, promotes greater job satisfaction, and satisfied employees are likely to stay longer and be more productive.

Today’s workers want to learn new skills and understand plans for progression within our businesses. Training is a retention tool instilling loyalty and commitment from good workers. If we let our people stagnate once they have mastered initial tasks, they may be more tempted to move on.

It’s important to share knowledge within a business too. If one person learns a special skill, encourage them to train others wherever possible, reinforcing their training and spreading the knowledge around, thus maximising on investment.

Hewett Recruitment have a network of long standing relationships with businesses developed over the last 36 years across the region. Laura Hewett explained, “Many of our clients are in growth mode and it can be challenging to identify exactly where to access the right training for their people. Hewett Recruitment have developed a training provision through carefully selected training partners, some of which is fully funded and for other options we have been able to secure discounts for our clients.”

Laura continued “Our main concern was to ensure that those delivering the training to our customers had the ability to provide the same high standards our clients expect from us when we recruit for them.” Hewett’s are able to facilitate a wide range of training such as fully funded English & Maths Functional Skills; online software training; Manual Handling/Fire Safety training; access to Apprenticeships, through to bespoke personal development and team building courses such as Leadership Styles, Presenting Skills, Lencioni’s The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team™ and DISC Behavior profiling.

Hewett Recruitment have used the DISC and Lencioni programs for their own team who thoroughly enjoyed it and found that it builds even stronger relationships, improving communication and enhancing the performance of individuals within the organisation. The Company is happy to be able to facilitate these systems with our clients.

English & Maths Functional skills trainer David Loughton said, “It is great to be working with some of Hewett Recruitment’s key manufacturing clients. The feedback I have received so far has shown that helping to improve the level of English in particular of operatives in a warehouse environment has genuinely improved productivity, retention and employee engagement. It’s so rewarding to be a part of that”.

“Every business has different needs from the shop floor to the management team. Our aim is to identify and facilitate good quality training to support our clients as they grow and develop”, Laura Hewett.
