in your tea, every 100 cuppas will give you an extra1lb of fat around your tummy, bottom or arms, unless you work it off! A can of coke has 140 calories of sugar, therefore, 25 x 12oz cans will also put on that 1lb of fat. Many processed foods contain sugar, it is cheap and a good filler and is very addictive. So, if you buy factory made ready meals, drink fizzy drinks and also put sugar your tea, you are almost certain to struggle with your weight.

the natural sugar found in fruit. It is now thought that because your liver recognises it as a food and knows how to deal with it, naturally occurring sugar (fructose) doesn`t convert to fat quickly, as processed sugar does. Ways to improve your health & happiness.

Imagine what it must be like to wake up full of beans and raring to go most mornings. Some people do and it is mostly down to good diet and keeping active. Few of us are too busy to eat well or to squeeze some exercise into our daily routines if we want to. I would like to share some painless ways to do both.

Walk to school or work. Human beings are designed to walk long distances every day.

the strengthening exercises, I get pain. If you let your thigh muscles waste away you are asking for problems, especially if you are overweight. Try these simple exercises; you will see the difference in a few weeks. 1) Sit on a chair and squeeze a cushion hard, using your thigh muscles to crush it. 2). Wrap a dressing gown cord or a piece of rope around your knees. Now, use your thigh muscles again to force your knees apart. Do both of these exercises 3 times for about 20 seconds. Now, stand up with your feet a bit wider than your shoulders, toes pointing outwards. Bend your knees an inch or two, pull your tummy in, tense your thighs and think Bruce Lee stance! Hold the position for a while. Aaaargh!

You can grow the green leaves, broccoli and beetroot in your garden for free. Just don`t add processed sugar!

Strengthen your knees. Many of us suffer with knee problems. I do too and if I don`t keep up
