The family ethos and respect and care for each other at Cadham Pharmacy transcends to the patient care. The team not only go the extra mile with every patient, they go the extra mile for their colleagues.
One of the key members of the team, Jean has worked in the pharmacy for 25 years and epitomises the community values the pharmacy work so hard to maintain and promote.
Pharmacist Bernadette Brown commented on behalf of the team saying, “Words cannot describe the

feeling when something like this happens, especially for someone like Jean, who has been in my community for 25 years, who is an integral part of our team, and who knows everyone in our community. She epitomises everything that pharmacy is about.
“As the pharmacist, I am there to give all the clinical advice, working with the local doctors and so on, but the people who really make the pharmacy special are the staff members like Jean.
“In our pharmacy, our ethos is to make the customer/patient experience a healthcare experience. It is not about a transaction, but about the wider part of the NHS in keeping people well and healthy and in promoting and enhancing the wellbeing of the community that we serve.”
Joe Mitchell, Managing Director, Juvela went on to add, “Juvela are very proud to be here and to witness the joy being shown by Bernadette and Jean in winning this award. It is terrific to recognise these healthcare providers and team members within the community and how much of an effort they put into their patients because, as Bernadette has stated, it is not just a case of putting forward a prescription.”
