INN STYLE MAKES HIGH-PROFILE NEW HEAD OF EXTERNAL RELATIONS APPOINTMENT
Inn Style, the Ipswich-based travel- technology company which provides online accommodation bookings management systems, has expanded its team and appointed Fiona Johnson as its Head of External Relations.
Fiona commented: “I am delighted to be joining the Inn Style team. With my background in tourism development and marketing, my knowledge of the needs of tourism organisations and also my experience working in the IT field, this is a perfect outlet for my skills.”
Fiona brings with her seven years’ experience of developing and promoting the visitor economy along the Suffolk Coast – currently worth in excess of £550m – having previously worked with local tourism organisations to establish The Suffolk Coast Ltd Destination Management System (DMO). The DMO seeks to work with its member organisations to increase the value of tourism and to encourage more visitors to enjoy a stay on the Suffolk Coast.
Prior to that, Fiona worked at ARM Ltd in Cambridge for eight years, in a variety of marketing, communications and corporate responsibility
roles. ARM is the
world’s leading semiconductor IP company, which develops and licenses technology that is at the heart of most smartphones and tablets.
Fiona continued: “Inn Style is a superb product that helps B&B, self-catering, hoteliers and campsite owners to boost business by providing a great experience for customers wishing to book a room quickly and without fuss.”
Adrian Melrose, Inn Style’s CEO added: “Fiona’s appointment is great news for the Inn Style team. She adds a perfect blend of marketing and communications experience, with superb knowledge of the needs of the tourism industry, and the challenges faced by accommodation owners, DMOs and consumers. Fiona will be a great asset to this rapidly growing business – we are all thrilled that she is
