arrive, the group of about 50 cars will often spend 2 hours and really have a chance to visit and speak to people who naturally want to see their amazing cars. I had the pleasure of first meeting
the ACCCC – Rideau Lakes Region at Camp Quality for kids who have cancer. They are the sponsor of this day and sell raffle tickets with the proceeds going to the Camp. I was fortunate to have been invited to join them and there is nothing better than giving a kid a ride in your car and see their faces light up. This event is held on the 3rd
weekend in August and if your
car club is interested just contact the ACCCC for details. I have always been a fan of the
Classics and knowing that there is a club out there promoting the preservation and restoration of these treasures is reassuring. Car history is being carried forward for all of us to enjoy. As Bob told me: “You come for the cars, but you stay for the friendship”. If you share their passion,
then please contact Terry Irish at
34ford@hotmail.ca or you can also visit their website at www.
rideaulakes-acccc.com. Until next time, keep smiling and see you in my rear view mirror.
