Well, it’s that time of year, again. The bike, boat and truck are put away until spring,
the hunt has come and gone, the golf clubs are in the shed, and the snow tires have been put on…(oh crap, I procrastinated on this one.) The big difference this year is that you are reading the first winter edition of Bounder. It
only took six years to get up to four editions a year, but here it is. The issue’s theme is music and I am pleased to premiere a new feature that will focus
on the history of Ottawa and the Valley’s country music roots. We have had many fantastic musicians from here that made a huge mark on the music industry. We plan to tell their stories in the next upcoming issues. It has been a great fall for me. My daughter Jessica got married, (I now have a son-in-
law for a hunting buddy), I finally got my toy truck purring, got another bike trip in, played golf right into late October, and got away for a few days deer hunting. Like a lot of you out there, we are all hoping for a long fall, short winter and early spring. It won’t be long before we start missing our toys. I want to thank my writers, photographers, designers and distributers for making
Bounder such a great success. Without these people, this magazine would never have come as far as it has. I have been extremely lucky to have such great contributors that, I feel, have gone over and above to make Bounder what it is today. I also want to thank the advertisers who, without them, there wouldn’t be a magazine. Finally, to you the readers who make it all worthwhile, I respect all of your feedback, good and bad, and use your comments to help improve Bounder Magazine. I want to sincerely wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I personally am looking
forward to getting together with family and friends during the holiday season. Hope you enjoy this issue.
