Hope Cuts for a Great Cause B


ellezza Salon & Spa invites readers to stop in on Saturday, October 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to get your pink on and help cut out Cancer, HIV/Aids, diabetes and other life threatening ill- nesses. All of the proceeds along with all of the earnings from a spa products gift basket raffle will be donated to the City or Hope, a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. There will also be giveaways, food, refreshments and other fun events.


Offering more than just hair services, Bellezza is dedicated to helping guests achieve wellness of body, mind and spirit. “We are well-trained and highly motivated professionals dedicated to providing only the best possible products and services,” states owner Diane Rizzetto. “As a Cancer survivor it’s important to me that we use as many natural products as possible in the salon. We also specialize in all-natural and botanical face and body products.”

Women’s Qigong Workshop at Yoga Loft


T


he Yoga Loft of Bethlehem will con- duct a workshop on qigong, just for


women, from 1 to 3 p.m., November 8. Qi means “energy” and gong means “work”, so qigong is anything that works to enhance the flow of energy through the body. It is an integral part of Tradi- tional Chinese Medicine. In this workshop, participants will be


introduced to qigong practices that are specific to women’s bodies and spirits, including the health of the breasts, re- productive organs and bones and joints. They will also learn techniques to ease the transition into winter, the most yin time of year in an atmo- sphere of friendly support. The practices can be done by women of all ages, sizes and physical condition, and are appropriate for beginners or established practitioners of qigong.
