72 • Mechanics Rotation Motor / generator
This is a universal low voltage motor which also works as a generator. The dual functionality of this device makes it an obvious choice for introducing the concepts of conversion of energy from electric to mechanical form and vice versa. Also useful for operating units such as strobe discs, colour discs, and more. Provided with a sturdy DC motor with a permanent magnet stator. A two step drive belt shaft is supplied along with a cy- lindrical winding axle with diameters of 8 and 12 mm. Supplied with a Ø 10 x 35 mm mounting rod. Drive belt set Four different flexible, black synthetic rubber drive belts. Belt lengths: 240, 289 and 780 mm. The drive belts are oil resistant.

Gear motor A strong, stable motor for low RPMs. The motor is provided with the same universal spindle and pulley as 2025.00 but with its 21:1 gear ratio and a rated speed of 80 RPM it is superior for experiments where a slow, steady rotation is needed.
2025.50 Gear motor
Conical pendulum The conical pendulum is a classic example of uniform circular motion. The Frederiksen version makes precision measurements easier to perform – without the usual risks of having your eye in the plan of the rotation of the bob. Excellent for teaching topics like circular motion, centripetal force, combination of forces and more. The conical pendulum is used with the 2025.50 gear motor. It mounts directly on the thread of the gear motor’s spindle.
The equipment comprises: • Centre mount and dial with ball bearing • Three different lengths of strong, inelastic thread with hooks • Aluminium bob with centre of mass marking (Gear motor 2025.50 and stand material is not included.)
