Chakra Mindset Daily Affirmations
Antoinette and Jamie Gomez ____
This is one of the niftiest little things that has come across my desk in a long time. Part affirmation deck, part desktop calendar and part notebook, Chakra Mindset Daily Affirmations is your daily dose of mental sunshine.
Every day brings a new affirmation in vibrant colour. Each motivational saying is matched with an evocative or uplifting photograph, and every morning you simply tear the top one off
to reveal a new inspirational quote beneath.
The individual pages themselves are far too beautiful to throw away, and once I tore them from the notepad I found myself using them on the fridge, pinning them to mood boards and putting them in photo frames to keep them. To give you an example, today’s affirmation reads, “You are strong, you are powerful, you are genuine. Shine your light and lead the way.”
The pages aren’t dated; so you can keep your daily affirmation even longer if it resonates with you. I’ve found that sometimes I’ve wanted to keep a particular message on my desk for days, especially if I’m feeling stressed out about work or deadlines. This is such a great resource for any office or workspace, and I can see the quotes being passed around between colleagues and pinned up in cubicles.
Chakra Mindset Daily Affirmations is a truly gorgeous gift idea, but be warned: grab an extra one. You will want your own copy.
The Rainbow Oracle Jasmine Safi
52 card deck and guide book ____
You would expect a card deck called The Rainbow Oracle to be resplendent with colour, and this certainly does not disappoint. Jasmine Safi’s oracle card deck is one of the most vibrant and aesthetically pleasing I have seen in a long time.
Good Night Yoga Mariam Gates Hardcover picture book (34
pages) ____
Good Night Yoga is such a fantastic idea that it’s a wonder I haven’t seen the likes of it before. A pose-by-pose bedtime story, this delightful children’s book by Mariam Gates is the perfect way for little minds and bodies to unwind and relax at the end of the day.
The book has a dual function – part bedtime story and part yoga
manual, the book features a whimsical ‘good night’ story that can be incorporated into your evening bedtime routine. It can be read as a story on its own, or you can add the yoga moves as well, to really bring the story to life.
The positions all have names that work with the story and are designed to capture the imagination of young minds, featuring natural phenomena like butterfly, ladybug, star and cloud.
The vibrant, full-colour artwork by Sarah Jane Hinder is another highlight – with each pose incorporated into the illustrations – and it’s sure to have your children reaching for this truly magical book every night.
Safi is a psychic and spiritual artist, and The Rainbow Oracle is the result of channelled messages and pathways to higher heart consciousness, and is intended to be used as an artistic bridge to self- awareness.
Each card features a stunning full- colour artwork, a key theme and a short description at the bottom. Using the guidebook, further interpretation can add greater depth to your reading or you can choose to meditate on the image or phrase and intuit your own personal meaning.
The author has included a number of different spreads to try in the guidebook, and my favourites were the Spiritual Ladder and the Life Ladder. As a seeker, the choice between these two spreads gives you the opportunity to decide how deep you wish to go: are you seeking insight about the greater meaning for your existence, or do you need insight into some of the more immediate, real-world struggles you are facing?
Distinctive and bold, The Rainbow Oracle is the unique manifestation of the artist’s vision: generous in scope and beautifully realised in vibrant colour.
