Please note: This will be a “work day,” so please dress accordingly! WHERE About Casa de Esperanza:
Casa de Esperanza de los Ninos—the House of Hope for Children—is a safe place for children in crisis due to abuse, neglect or the eff ects of HIV. Casa de Esperanza provides residential care, and coordinates medical and psychological services according to the needs of each child.
Since 1982, Casa de Esperanza has provided hope and healing for children and their families whose lives have been disrupted by abuse, neglect, homelessness, poverty, substance abuse, parental incarceration and/or HIV-infection. Casa de Esperanza is now the longest running program in the United States for children impacted by HIV/AIDS.
Casa de Esperanza strives to break the destructive cycle of child abuse by off ering safe homes to children of families in crisis. The goal of Casa de Esperanza is to return physically and emotionally healthy children to stabilized homes where caregivers can safely provide daily care. Children receive comprehensive assessment and intervention services while in placement. Parents receive case management and referral services while their children are safely cared for by Casa de Esperanza. When family reunifi cation is not possible, Casa de Esperanza is licensed to supervise long-term foster care and adoptive placements.
No fees are charged for any services and Casa does not receive government funding. Funds are raised through special events, grant proposals, appeal letters and individual donations.
Can you help? Sign up for our work day or donate today!
