Montgomery County Judge Craig Doyal and Kathleen Newton with TX DoT shared with a sold out crowd at the MCBDD monthly luncheon what was upcoming countywide in the next couple years on major roadways in the county. With the influx of families moving into the county, many projects are ongoing in order to keep up with the increase in vehicles.
Kathy Anderson, one of our brightest and best interior designers, shared with a sold out crowd at the MCBDD luncheon what was new and trending in home décor. Those in attendance were treated to a sneak peek of what Kathy experienced on her recent European trip.
The MCBDD hosted a Summer Networking event at Grotto’s in The Woodlands. Generously sponsored by Bison, a Stock Building Supply Company, a great crowd was on hand to enjoy scrumptious food and network with old friends and new acquaintances.
Remodelers Council
The Remodelers Council grew to 320 members in the second quarter and added 12 remodelers. GHBA’s RMC is still the largest Remodelers Council in the country! The Remodelers completed the 2015 Charity Project at Family Time Crisis Center in Humble, led by Sherry Pruitt, CAPS with Who Did it Designs. Council members, representing dozens of companies, donated their time, talent and materials to renovate two kitchens and a large bathroom.

The Council hosted luncheons with top- ics including “Design Trends,” “Search Engine Optimization,” and the “Legends of Remodeling” featuring an entertain- ing and knowledgeable panel of coun- cil past presidents. The Council kicked off its donation drive for the 2015 RMC Charity Garage Sale. Proceeds from this year’s garage sale will be used to fund the 2016 RMC Charity Project.
Sales & Marketing Council
The Sales & Marketing Council hosted the 5th Annual Battle of the Builders on the fabulous grounds of Cross Creek Ranch in April. Huge congrats to the team from Ryland Homes on taking home the Championship Belt.
The top of the Hilton Americas hotel served as the venue for the SMC’s Networking and Top Producers event in May. Over 70 Top Producers were honored for their sales for Q4 2014 and Q1 2015.
