“We are so excited and blessed to be here today for the official groundbreaking of the 2015 Benefit Home,” said Todd Atwood. “We are honored to be a part of this great project. It is nice to see so many people, and companies working together to make this happen for three amazing charities. The giving back nature of this project fits squarely into our culture, and we are cer- tainly happy to build one of our innovative new plans to donate as our part.”

Peter Houghton, the Benefit Homes chair- man added, “All Benefit Home ground- breakings are huge milestones for the three charities and the entire GHBA and the

builder/developer teams. The energy and excitement of the occasion is an inspiration to everyone who attends. We are looking forward to watching Castletree’s Benefit Home become the beautiful design that will attract smart homebuyers.”

A second Benefit Home, built by Perry Homes, is now completed and open to visitors. Perry built its two-story 3199W E-70 plan on a homesite in Bridgeland’s Beech Creek section of Hidden Creek. Bridgeland’s developer, The Howard Hughes Corp., donated the homesite.

In its 35 years, the Benefit Homes Project has donated more than $9 million to local charities.
