The LED Revolution

LED lighting is changing the way we illuminate our living spaces. But with new technology comes many misconceptions and half-truths being offered to the designer, builder and consumer.

GOLD

We hope you’ll join us for the next Remodelers Coun- cil monthly luncheon on August 11 as Richard Alan of Richard Alan & Associates LLC, dispels some of the myths. Learn the financial realities of LED use and how they compare with the other common under-cabinet lighting sources. Participants will also walk away with some key questions to ask prospective LED suppliers and gain insight into where this new light source can best be used in homes.

Bring Us Your Junk; Help a Great Cause SILVER

The Remodelers Council is once again asking your to open your hearts and your warehouses for the 8th An- nual RMC Charity Garage Sale. We are seeking dona- tions of building materials, appliances, hardware, light- ing, paint, windows, doors—anything you can spare.

We’ll sell your “junk” at the Texas Home & Garden Show in September. (Speaking of the show, we also need volunteers to work the RMC booth. It’s a great way to build rapport with potential clients, market your com- pany AND help your Council, all at the same time.)

Proceeds from the Garage Sale will be used to fund the Council’s local charity projects. Past projects have included renovations at SIRE Therapeutic Equestrian Center, ECHOS Community Center, Jacquelyn House, The Open Door Mission, Habitat for Humanity and The Sonrise Shelter. The 2015 project was completed this spring, as we fully renovated two kitchens and a large bathroom for the FamilyTime Crisis Center.

No donation is too small. And if you’re fresh out of junk, we can also accept cash donations.
