PARTNERS FUTURE FACES DEVELOPING THE NEXT GENERATION OF BUSINESS TALENT We’re building

for the future Future Faces, the Chamber section that provides a networking and peer support group for ambitious individuals in the early stages of their career, is hoping to build on its membership by recruiting from the construction sector. It is also aiming for

more new recruits from the Third Sector, business hospitality and the public sector. Future Faces

manager Kate Evans (pictured) said: “As Birmingham continues to develop as a leading business location, it is hardly surprising that many of our members are from the professional services sector. However, we are far from being restricted to just one aspect of our business community and would particularly like a representative from the construction industry to join our executive committee.

‘We have been dedicated to creating a much more sector diverse network’

“In fact, over the past year we have been dedicated to creating a much more sector diverse network,” she added. “Especially since James Wootton from

Wasps and Sarah Cuer from Aston Villa have joined our ranks. With such an impressive membership to date, I am proud to work with members who possess such a range of skills sets, ideas and ambitions.”

Bumper entries should ensure Awards success

D

Faces, the Birmingham Chamber section which provides a networking and peer support group for ambitious individuals in the early stages of their career. Future Faces membership manager Kate Evans said: “We have been very encouraged by the

amount of interest that has been shown in the awards, which we have introduced to recognise the achievements of next-generation leaders and acknowledge the wealth of talent that is emerging across our region.” Apart from the ‘Future Face of Greater Birmingham’ award, which is open to members only, other

award categories are for the Future Face of Charity/Public Services; Entrepreneurial/Creative Services; Professional Services; Leisure/Hospitality and the Future Face of Industry. The awards will be presented at a dinner on 11 September when the host will be Jack Woodward, the

Sarah takes committee role

Future Faces has further strengthened its executive committee with the new appointment of Sarah Cuer, who is business development manager at Aston Villa. Sarah’s role at the Premier League club is as an ambassador – but

her business skills are also focused on raising the awareness of corporate hospitality and venue opportunities amongst the business community. During her 10 years at Aston Villa, she has engaged businesses of all

sizes and industries, enabling them to strengthen client relationships, generate new business sales, increase their brand awareness throughout the region and reward their staff through the various platforms available at the club. Future Faces manager Kate Evans said: “Sarah is new to

Future Faces but is very much looking forward to the coming year as a committee representative. Aston Villa FC recognises the important part it plays within the city and supporting Future Faces will enable it to engage the key decision makers of the future.”
