Training firm to focus on talent
A
leading training provider is to launch a new arm of the company that will focus on senior leadership training, organisational strategy
development and helping companies to manage talent. The firm is Training 2000, which was established almost 50
years ago, and has built a solid reputation for quality training, including apprenticeships, military preparation and executive training programmes. The company has 11 centres in the North West and manages
large blue-chip training contracts in London and Derby. It has a staff of almost 300 people in the UK.
‘Part of Training 2000’s bid to expand its presence into the Midlands’
The new business will be headed by a director, Neil Gutteridge, and will have a team of dedicated training professionals and a newly formed marketing and communications department, as well as a business development team. The new business – as yet unnamed – is part of Training 2000’s
bid to expand its presence into the Midlands. Training 2000 chief executive Steve Gray said: “It was decided
that the leadership and management function really had its own unique target clients and style. To further develop this side of the business we decided to create a new brand that would appeal to these large organisations and really clarify our key services. “The new brand brings exciting times for the Training 2000
team. By diversifying our offering and working with organisations committed to achieving agility and growth, we are building on our history and experience, not losing it.”
Neil Gutteridge: exciting times
