A FITNESS COACH for mind and wellbeing


As with many things in life, over time, interpretation and reputation can soon become a stigma, and no better example of this is the phrase “Life Coaching”.


The mis-interpretation of what coaching – or personal development – is all about, has led many of us to ignore the possible benefits. The truth of the matter is that personal coaching (aka life coaching) is purely a mind process that fundamentally answers the question “How can I be better?”.


Coaching has been used in the


sporting world for many years and in business it can be the most cost effective and focused way to develop people. Coaching is now applicable in practically every aspect of life, including personal development, health and fitness, relationships and romance, money and career.


Focused entirely on the “self”,


personal development aims to assess and evaluate your current strengths and weaknesses in order to improve any aspect of your life that you wish to address.


Areas of coaching include: Goals - Focusing on what you want and how to achieve it.


Values - Knowing what is important to you and aligning your values whilst achieving your goals.


Beliefs - Challenging limiting beliefs by giving tasks that provide feedback. This can be achieved using NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming – which is


considered to be one of the most useful and accessible tools to come out of modern psychology.


The word comes from “Neuro” (the Latin for nerve) which refers to the way


we gather information from the outside world through our five senses; 'Linguistic' (the study of language), refers to the way we make sense of that


information by organising it into language and 'Programming' - a way of controlling something. If you have ever heard yourself saying "I wish I didn't keep doing that" or "I


can't help thinking/feeling that way", then NLP can provide practical help to change your life fast, providing you with the tools to confidently face difficult situations, push past emotional barriers and step outside your comfort zone.
