AAH A Grand event for AAH

The Scottish Grand National played host to a business networking event in April, arranged by AAH Pharmaceuticals. Before enjoying the Ayr racing event, guests heard from AAH Sales Director Chris Frost about the wholesaler’s current activity and future challenges - and Harry McQuillan provided an update from Community Pharmacy Scotland.

Chris said, “We wanted to take the opportunity to meet more of our valued Scottish customers in a completely different environment. Whilst AAH is performing well as

a business, we don’t want to get complacent and are investing a significant amount of time into making our services more personalised to individual customers.

“Of course, we need to get to know our customers better to make this possible – and this event was an invaluable way to really listen to our Scottish customers’ experiences and to hear their views.

“There are three core drivers at the heart of our strategy. Firstly, to ensure that our customers find us a pleasure to do business with; secondly

to provide a market-leading service backed up by excellence in our people and their customer first approach. Finally, we want to provide a wide range of services that enable our customers to grow their business, reduce their costs or just make life a little easier. For instance, providing a best price in market guarantee for our Complete Generic customers.

“Through our Careway proposition, we are bringing the knowledge from our sister company LloydsPharmacy, using this tried-and-tested expertise to develop retail sales, professional

services, business support, IT and colleague education. We provide this alongside our market leading shortline and OTC wholesale businesses; Trident and Enterprise.

“This event was a great chance to discuss these plans and challenges with our Scottish customers at an exciting time for AAH. We want to develop our position as the leading full line, national wholesaler – but one which understands the local communities that we serve and events like this are crucial to help achieve that.”
