Q10 - The Facts

• Optimal Q10 production occurs in your mid-twenties, after this it is in steady decline.

• Q10 is responsible for 95% of your body’s daily energy output.

• Q10 is the ‘spark plug’ responsible for energy production in over 100 trillion cells.

• The heart is the hardest working muscle in your body and therefore requires the most energy.

• In a new study, called Q-Symbio, involving patients with heart conditions, there were fewer deaths in the group taking Bio- Quinone Q10 compared to the placebo group.

• Your body can absorb Q10 more effectively if it is dissolved in oil-based capsules.

• Blister packing also helps to protect the potency of coenzyme Q10.

The cells of the cardiac muscle are particularly energy-dependent, which is why these cells contain larger concentrations of coenzyme Q10 than cells in other tissues. In heart failure, however, the situation is different.

Coenzyme Q10 levels in the heart drop, causing an energy shortage that prevents the heart muscle from contracting with its usual force. This is what causes shortness of breath and chest pain. When people with heart failure take supplements of coenzyme Q10 the energy turnover in their heart muscle cells is stimulated and that is how the heart gets back its strength.

Quality counts Unprocessed Q10 is made up of crystals that can be dissolved only in fat at a temperature of 48oC.

If a supplement is to benefit us, the Q10 raw material must be dissolved entirely so the molecules can pass through the intestinal membrane.

As a result, the raw material found in Bio-Quinone Active Q10 is dissolved in oil to ensure it can be best absorbed by the body. It is also subject to a patented heat treatment, which enables the crystals to dissolve completely at body temperature.

Bio-Quinone Active Q10, the original Q10 formula, is the official reference product (gold standard) of international coenzyme Q10 research.

It is manufactured to pharmaceutical standards and was selected by Mortensen due to its documented bio- availability and safety.
