Our tester, Val Williams, says: When asked to try this, I was rather pleased as I have had the company’s products before and always been more than happy. There are a number of things to like about the shirt. It is beautifully shaped, so easily tucked into jodhpurs and breeches and there is a lovely breast panel which looks good under a jacket and it stretches as you bend, so feels fabulous when riding. The detachable collar looks smart, as well as allowing you to feel cooler after riding. A ‘must have’ to be comfortable riding on the warmer days which are thankfully on the way.

Our tester, Gillian McMurray, says: High quality, which was evident from the heavyweight fabric, finish, styling and fittings. I found them soft, warm and comfortable to wear with plenty of stretch. The stitching is of a high standard and the seams are carefully positioned to prevent rubbing on my legs. Reinforced knee patches, made from faux suede and very handy, zipped front pockets to keep my keys etc. safe. Slim fitting, plenty of length for the taller person and a Velcro strip giving adjustment around the ankle. Light beige colour meant they are suitable for competitions. I found them very comfortable to ride in and they appear to be very hard wearing as well as being smart. I also thought the style and colour were very flattering for both the older competitor and those who are younger. Washed well.

Our tester, Paul Malone, says: To say that these socks are cosy doesn’t quite do them justice! The weather in Northumberland has really been tough over the past few months and these socks have been a saviour on the yard. As well as being nice and toasty, they’re made with a nice thick sole which really helps keep you comfortable during those long, colder days. Although nice and thick, they wash and dry very quickly as they’re made from quite a lightweight material. Theyare knee-length, but they’re not too long so don’t show above your gaiters or boots. The plain design also lends itself to us men… no horrendous, outlandish designs to be had here! Oh, and they even come in larger sizes!

Our tester, Rachel Thomas, says: The socks are certainly nice and comfy. I love the idea of them, the thick and padded sole with a thinner bit up the leg meaning they are very easy to wear with boots or chaps. They are not bulky or uncomfortable, are nice and breathable, look smart and wash well. However, in my opinion they are definitely a summer sock, as they are quite thin and not very warm. Really like the gloves, they are very comfortable without being restrictive, which some smart gloves can be. They grip really well too, as proven when I wore them on an extremely wet day, when they still gripped well. They also washed really well and kept their softness and flexibility when dry. Look smart and really are very comfortable.
