BRODICK Brodick Photo: Hugh Boag

During the 19th century Brod- ick’s Main Street was where horses were shod, butter was churned and bannocks baked on girdles while tongues gos- siped. The exhibits refl ect the social history, archaeology and geol- ogy of the island. Strolling along Brodick’s idyllic seafront it can be seen why this tiny village has been a popular destination for many years. Because the ferry arrives into Brodick, it is generally consid- ered to be the main village on Arran. With two supermarkets, craft shops, retailers and hotels you will fi nd everything you need to make the most of your stay on Arran.
