The first Arran Folk Festival was held in 1990 to celebrate the raw essence of traditional music, which thrives not only in Scotland but also in all the Celtic nations and beyond. Today it brings together the finest and most renowned musicians from the interna- tional scene; from stalwarts of the ‘60s revival to young pas- sionate players, who continue to enchant and inspire their audiences.

The Arran Folk Festival will be held from Friday 5 June until Sunday 7 June and will fea- ture a weekend of open ses- sions, concerts and ceilidhs with a cracking line-up of mu- sicians with several more acts still to be confirmed.


And the Comedy Festival, which has fast become a firm favourite, is definitely one event to look out for. Always a great day out is the Arran Farmers Show where there are always top enter- tainment acts.
