Energy efficiency for Fripa Papierfabrik’s new tissue line
of Fripa Papierfabrik Albert Friedrich KG with the objective of conserving resources and reducing energy consumption. Using Voith technology, the line incorporated a NipcoFlex T shoe press with 20 percent lower thermal requirements due to the high dry content after the press. At the same time it is said to be ideally suited for production of soft paper and thus meets the high quality requirements of Fripa. new process line has been started up at the Miltenberg paper mill and headquarters
accessories to automation, electrification and engineering. In addition, extensive services and replacement parts were included in the delivery, such as the entire clothing package which is ideally coordinated with the requirements of shoe press technology. The centerpiece of the new PM7 is an EvoDry Y Yankee cylinder with a NipcoFlex T shoe press. Other energy-efficient items include an IntensaPulper
and a TwinFlo refiner with Pluralis refiner fillings in stock preparation, the innovative approach flow system with the newly developed IntegraGuard headbox screen, a MasterJet T headbox as well as dryer hoods and air systems perfectly coordinated with the production process. “Voith stood by us as a genuine partner during the planning and processing of the project, and with the PM7 has delivered an
innovative system. Of particular importance to us were maximally optimized energy consumption, moderate operating costs, low water and waste water values and a high level of paper softness. New Valmet tissue line adds capacity in Russia
The Syktyvkar Tissue Group’s new tissue mill at Semibratovo in the Yaroslavl region of Russia recently started up a new line that adds 30,000 tons a year of bathroom tissue, napkin and towel grades to its capacity. The installation of the Advantage
DCT 100 tissue line by Valmet follows that of a similar machine at the company’s mill and headquarters at Syktyvkar, in the Komi republic, which started up in
2008, along with a major rebuild of the PM1 line at Komi in 2011. “Valmet and Syktyvkar Tissue
Group have developed a strong relationship during our previous deliveries. Excellent teamwork and big efforts from both sides combined with our well proven technology made the start-up very smooth and efficient. We are looking forward to continuing our long-term partnership in future projects,” said Björn Magnus, sales
director for the EMEA region at Valmet’s Tissue Mills Business Unit. The tissue machine at
Semibratovo has a width of 2.7m and a design speed of 2,000 m/ min and is said to be optimized to save energy and to enhance final product quality. The Valmet line features an
Advantage DCT 100HS tissue machine equipped with an OptiFlo headbox and a cast alloy Yankee cylinder and an AirCap
hood. The project also included basic and detailed engineering, process equipment, as well as the supervision of the installation and training of the new tissue line. Metso delivered an automation package with a process control system. Syktyvkar Tissue Group is a
leading tissue maker in the Russian market, producing about 45,000 tons a year, representing a share of about 10 per cent.
