Energy recovery system exceeds expectations at Sofidel

Jan Erikson, vice president of sales at Valmet, commented: “We had high expectations of the results from the first installation of the Advantage ReTurne system which was substantially exceeded. The installation went smoothly and the machine was running at full speed within five days. But the most exiting was that the energy recovery proved to be above guaranteed level.”


Service centres expanded in China


Two Valmet centres in China have been expanded to offer customers in the pulp and paper industry a wider range of services. The centres at Waigaoqiao and Guangzhou now include the manufacturing of pulp and paper process consumables and new press roll covers for board- and paper making. “Both Valmet service centres


can now provide faster and more flexible support to an increasing customer base,” says Jukka Tiitinen, business line president for services at Valmet. “This is in line with our target to increase our presence close to where our
