Tailor-made automation for board coating lines

igh-quality paper and board products require the best operati ng systems on producti on
lines. A new coati ng technology developed by Austrian paper maker Mayr-Melnhof Karton that protects packaged food against unintended substances and also helps preserve taste and freshness presented a challenge. To apply the new coati ng, called FOODBOARDTM
, it was necessary
to convert a signifi cant secti on of the Mayr-Melnhof Karton mill at
