Knole unlocked: A Great Hall lecture, Sevenoaks Hear about the latest finds from one of the National Trust's largest ever archaeology projects. This talk will cover archaeological work undertaken as part


of the current conservation project. It will also discuss research undertaken on the house and the landscape, and some of the exciting discoveries to date, including the witchmarks discovered during recent building works. 3pm–4.30pm. Hear expert talks and tips, before looking through the telescopes to explore the night sky and gaze at the stars. March 21-22 Kent Big Weekend Get ready to grab some of the hottest tickets in the county. Kent Big Weekend was set up to promote Kent’s incredible attractions and sights, and to encourage residents to discover how much there is to see and do in their home county. Organised by Visit Kent, the event sees scores of attractions opening their doors to lucky ticket holders as part of a county-wide celebration of Kent’s fantastic tourism industry. Attractions that have already signed up for 2015 include


castles, cathedrals, go kart circuits, country parks, watersports centres, breweries, vineyards, wild animal parks, pottery workshops and golf clubs. Registration for tickets opens on January 27 and closes


February 17 and Kent residents can apply for tickets to as many attractions as they like. Two tickets per household will then be allocated by ballot to the lucky winners, although some family tickets will be available as well. Details of all the destinations taking part can be seen in full when the Kent Big Weekend website, www.mykentbigweekend.co.uk,opens for business in February.
