The Devon branch of the NAEA has elected Richard Copus as its Chairman. Richard says,


“Last year was marked by the highly successful mini-conference held at Escot House just outside Exeter. This was the second year that the event has been held with some excellent speakers it was well attended by both NAEA and ARLA members”.


Richard, who is also an NAEA Divisional Council member, said that regional reorganisation would reduce the paperwork that Devon had to deal with and give committee members more time to organise productive meetings. commercial property expert, will be joining the company as Head of Commercial and Investments. Lance has worked in the commercial property sector in London for over seven years, previously with Calder Russell Conway and Stirling Ackroyd. He specialises in acquisitions and the disposal of leasehold and freehold properties and has extensive


knowledge of development sites in the West End. Lance says, “I am delighted to be joining LDG and I am keen to expand its commercial arm. The West End commercial market is particularly buoyant at the moment, so it is a good time to act for clients who are looking to maximize their property assets”. Innes England has welcomed new graduate surveyor Laura Kwiecinski to the firm’s professional


department. Laura joins the Nottingham


estate agent from Shepherds Chartered Surveyors where she gained experience in residential and commercial valuation. With a degree in sociology from the University of Nottingham and an MA (distinction) in property and building surveying, Laura is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in the field. She said, “I’m very excited to


join the professional department at Innes England. This will enable me to gain further valuation experience and become involved with landlord and tenant work. “I enrolled on the Commercial Property Practice APC pathway in


March 2009 after realising that this area of practice really interested me. This new opportunity will provide me with the breadth of training necessary to complete the APC and achieve the RICS qualification and chartered status.” Robert Hartley, MD, said, “We’re

firm as an associate partner. His previous roles include working with the development team at Gateshead Council as a senior surveyor. Joining Ben is Lauren Young, BSc MRICS, who has been appointed as a senior surveyor, thus creating a ten-strong regional retail team which operates from the Scottish Borders to the East Midlands. A graduate of the University of


Leeds, Lauren joins the team following five years with Storeys,ssp. Her career highlights include the marketing of over 200,000 sq ft of commercial space. A successful market analyst, she has experience in retail, office and industrial lettings and sales. The new pair will work on a
