Colindale regeneration by Fairview
Fairview New Homes has launched new apartments at Pulse in Colindale, North West London as part of the multi-million pound regeneration of Colindale and the wider area. The new homes are situated on the site of
the old Victorian Colindale Hospital and the development still retains the original listed façade. There is 12.85 acres of green outdoor space and a central plaza with restaurants, shops and cafes. Mount Anvil scoops award United House team
London developer Mount Anvil’s Barnsbury Place development in Islington has won the top accolade for the best conversion in the 2011 London Evening Standard New Homes Awards.

conversion of Edwardian school buildings, won first prize in the large developer category. The Evening Standard described it as, “A unanimous choice, with all the reader judges saying they would like to live there. It is an attractive development of houses and apartments that has been built on the site of an Edwardian school, with many of the original features retained, including tiles, stairs and the carved “boys” and “girls” entrance signs.”
New development site – £225 million+
Knight Frank launches to market the St John’s Wood Barracks site, in North London, which represents one of the last remaining prime central London residential development opportunities of any scale. Offers in excess of £225 million will be considered. The site, currently owned by private family trust the Eyre Estate, has been occupied as a
Barracks since 1804. The present occupiers, Royal Artillery’s Kings Troop, will vacate by early 2012 as part of a planned move to a new facility in Woolwich. Prior to becoming a Barracks the land formed part of a farmed estate.

The planning permission provides for the existing buildings to be demolished, apart from the Grade II listed Riding School which will be retained and converted into a gym and swimming pool for the use of the residents of the scheme.

Paul Delaney joins United House as Major Projects Director from Ardmore Construction, where he spent 27 years overseeing the delivery of a wide range of mixed-use projects combining residential, industrial, retail and leisure development, with contract values from £10 to £110 million. Paul will use his expertise to head the delivery
of United House’s new pipeline of projects and support the Group’s ongoing expansion. Malcolm Bushell also returns to United House,
after a 12-year period at Mulalley Construction, where he held the position of Marketing Manager. Malcolm’s new role as Senior Business Development Manager involves the implementation of a targeted approach to new business, which will enable well-planned and profitable growth for the company going forward.
