Badgers on bikes At 3.30pm on 25th June, Tony

Addinall, Executive Chairman of the Badger Holdings Group, and his fellow walkers ‘staggered’ over the fi nish line in Christchurch, Dorset having just completed a strenuous challenge in aid of The Shooting Star CHASE children’s charity. Tony, with 20 work colleagues and family and friends raised £18,000, which will pay a nurse’s wage for a year.

The group took part in a four day

walk along the South West Coastal Path National Trail. They picked up the path at Lyme Regis on 22nd June, and after 83 miles fi nished on Saturday 25th June in Christchurch, Dorset, 10 miles on from the offi cial end of the trail. Tony says, “Despite what many

people originally thought, this challenge was seriously tough. Some days we were walking for 12 hours, and it took its toll on everyone. It was, as always, absolutely worthwhile, especially when we were stopped along the way by a family who had benefi ted from the services of the Shooting Star. All there is to do now is organise our challenge for next year!”

through the Kent countryside, but lots of laughs too! We saw some beautiful scenery, but nothing more beautiful than the Eiffel Tower and knowing we had done it! This has really inspired me and I am already looking for my next challenge! Mark Goddard, Group MD said, “Well

done to our GMG Power of 10 team for taking on and successfully completing such a grueling challenge. It was an immense team effort, which they should all be rightly proud of. “We are coming to the end of our

two-year partnership with Shelter and fundraising has varied from activities, such as the London Marathon and the Vertical Challenge, to car washing, skittles nights, quiz nights, cake sales and bag packing in M&S. The London to Paris Bike Ride was our grand fi nale and we are very pleased to announce that we have raised well over £15,000, with more still to come in”.

“Once the exclusive preserve of the aristocracy and still the Sport of Kings, polo has become more accessible. We are pleased to be supporting the renaissance of polo at the origins of its foundation at the Hurlingham Club.” Robert Sturges, director of

Chesterton Humberts’ three offi ces in Fulham, said “MINT Polo in the Park has raised Fulham’s profi le amongst international audiences adding a frisson of polo’s glamour to the area.
