South Windsor Massage Therapist Completes Advanced Training In Oncology Massage

im Midford, LMT, LLC has completed a course entitled On- cology Massage Therapy: Caring for Clients with Cancer. The course focuses on educating the therapist on the complex medi- cal issues associated with cancer treatment. The therapist then learns how to modify traditional massage techniques to create a safe, effective massage given those medical issues. “I look forward to helping area residents through this diffi-

Oncology massage is currently being used in major cancer
centers such as Memorial Sloan Kettering, MD Anderson, and Duke University Medical Center.
