EDITOR’S MESSAGE
Welcome to our fall issue! F
all is a bittersweet time of year, the days shorten and evenings cool as we bid farewell to the long lazy days of summer. A bird’s eye view from the airplane window offers a de- lightful patchwork of brilliant fall colours – reds, oranges, yellows and browns surround
communities and the countryside. Rural communities around the city are hives of activity. Massive tractors, combines and swathers monopolize the highway as they move from field to field reaping the rewards of the year’s harvest. It has been a rough year for a lot of us on the prairies, but we are Manitobans and we persevere. As the harvest draws to a close, communities gather. Volunteers lend a hand to put on our famous fall suppers. Tis century old prairie tradition reinforces community ties and is good for the soul if not the waistline. It seems everyone is busy bustling about, be it getting back into the school groove or day-
dreaming of upcoming getaways. It’s an exciting time in the arts community with new sched- ules and performances to look forward to. In sports, the Bombers are winding down while the Jets begin to wind up for their new season. With no shortage of things to see and do in our fair province I hope you enjoy some of the
places and activities we have chosen to highlight for you around the province and abroad. Take a copy of Te Hub with you on your next trip and send us a photo. We’d love to see where Te Hub has been travelling and you may even make it in our next issue!! Take care, have fun and enjoy!

for many of us that also means the excitement of planning a winter get away. Tankfully we are able to offer you direct flights to some new sunny destinations from Winnipeg Richardson International Airport. In addition to working hard to secure new flights, our team has been busy laying the groundwork for some exciting developments on the horizon, including the launch of our new Plaza Premium Lounge which you can read all about in this issue. We would be remiss if we didn’t take a moment to thank the team at Pegasus Publications

for all their hard work, as it is the dedication of their talented staff that brings this publication to life! Our airport means so much to our community and region - whether you’re using it to experience the joys of travel or to ship your locally grown products around the world – we hope you are able to capture a sense of all that is possible because of Winnipeg Richardson International Airport.
elcome to the Fall issue of Te Hub! We were overwhelmed with the positive re- sponse to our inaugural issue and hope you will find the stories and information in this issue just as engaging.
After an all too short summer, we are now preparing to get back into the routines of fall and
