Ayden Kitchen and Bar Top Chef Canada winner Dale Mackay returned to

his hometown of Saskatoon to open a hip, stylish and industrial restaurant with a predictably mouth- watering menu. Whether you need a nightcap after a long flight or a three-course meal, Ayden will satisfy. Small plates like asparagus with truffle mayo and a poached egg, hickory-smoked duck confit or pan-roasted scallops can fill you up or initiate your palette for a handmade pasta or carnivorous main. Some of its meats are even prepped in the in-house butchery. Proper, handcrafted cocktails complete the experience or satisfy on their own.

Hotel Saskatchewan

Radisson Plaza If the hotel is good enough for royal visits, it’s prob- ably good enough for us all! The restaurant features farm-to-plate fare cooked up by Regina’s upper echelon of local chefs, and the Monarch Lounge offers you a comfortable leather seat around its stately wooden bar and lush decor. Along with classic beverage selections, the Monarch Lounge has an extensive collection of scotches and whiskeys. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday after- noons, The Victoria Tea Room is open for afternoon tea. Tea and crumpets fit for a queen, anyone?
