2014 June Aries (3/21 - 4/20)

When life leaves you “hanging” it could be a wonderful chance to simply let go of what you’re holding, particu- larly expectations. Letting go is some- times easier said than done, but in times like these it might actually bring the greatest relief from struggle and strife. Parties could be fun this month, but be aware of what might need re- pair in your kitchen. Make getting rid of useless or broken things a priority rather than buying new ones.

Taurus (4/21 - 5/20)

However you choose to handle it, your powers of attraction are significantly heightened! As long as you keep yourself busy in positive ways you will notice and enjoy progress. Circu- lation of the body, mind, and spirit is important for you now. Mid-month try to stand back with objectivity that al- lows for improvements without harsh criticism. It’s not about the end result or the destination but of course, the journey. Spend quality time outdoors.

Gemini (5/21 - 6/20)

This is a month of great personal re- newal for you. The catch is that you’re probably noticing quite a few people around you that are freaking out and you’re not necessarily compelled to join them. You’ll do best to look ahead, focus on your own endeavors, working toward making your hopes and dreams a reality. When you give yourself what you need you’ll be able to help others. The last week of the month is especially rewarding.

Cancer (6/21 - 7/22)

It may be time to pick up a project where you left off earlier this year. Perhaps there is also a tone of seriousness to your personal new year, in that you rec- ognize an enormous opportunity at your disposal that doesn’t come around too often. It is fine to approach things from a practical angle, but remember to leave room for the mystery…not all problems or riddles can be solved with practical means but must be surrendered to a higher power.

Leo (7/23 - 8/22)

This would be a great month to recon- nect with family, friends or a loved one with whom you have been separated for some time. It is possible that you or they have something to share that was previously unknown to you. Even with people you know and may fre- quently see, there is a theme of get- ting to know and see facets of their personalities that are new and sur- prising to you. You are also attracting a great deal of unexpected attention.

Virgo (8/23 - 9/22)

Where does your nourishment come from, and are you getting enough of it? If feeling drained you would prob- ably find it beneficial to stop what and with whom you’re doing that taxes you and make wellbeing a priority. Perhaps you feel that you can’t, due to work and a need for money. Money actually does grow on trees, but it takes work and transformation to make it usable, in the form we call cur- rency. It is quite the same with health.

Blasts from the past and exploration of foreign lands are what occupy your heart and mind this month. If you’re not literally travelling you could be planning a trip or creating something that captures the essence of another time, place, or culture. Simultaneously you may be asked to take a position of leadership. Keeping certain boundar- ies without cutting yourself off from the world seems to be part of your current cosmic assignment.

Scorpio (10/23 - 11/22)

Fire can either sustain or destroy life, depending on how it is used and di- rected. The same match used to light a candle can burn down a village, just as the same fire that draws people together through chemistry can turn them against each other. This month you’re very aware of your fiery power, but it is likely you will choose to stoke the fires of love. Remember how hot fire can be – if you treat it with respect it will do the same with you.

Sagittarius (11/23 - 12/21)

All those wild and crazy things that you do for love are part of what make your sign so endearing. Maybe it’s time to lay low for a bit, and see who’s willing to do something wild and crazy for you. Words could get in the way this month, so try different methods of communication. Also it is important to trust that you are loved even when the words are unspoken. Don’t let your doubts weigh you down. Visualize your outcomes with confidence.

Capricorn (12/22 - 1/19)

Working hard is a given for you, but play just as hard this month. Playtime, just like that special something you de- sire will unlikely be handed to you on a golden platter – you have got to go out there and reach for the stars. However, easy does it on the alcohol, and try to avoid those who consume a lot of it. Experiment with the most wholesome possible ways to celebrate, indulge, and pamper yourself. This way, your work will be more productive.

Aquarius (1/20 - 2/18)

It’s said beauty is in the eye of the be- holder, but similarly truth is in the mind of the perceiver. Lately it seems an important reminder that all beauty and truth is subject to personal percep- tions, subject to changing at any time. Not pushing for beauty to be seen, truth accepted or anything to happen, nor allowing anyone to pressure you, success will likely occur this month as you strike a balance between physical exertion and ethereal art forms.

Pisces (2/19 - 3/20)

This might be one of those times when you wish for an escape from whatever is your personal norm. Being able to express what you’re feeling with those you can share your emotions is also more important than involvement in the realms of logic. Some people also wish they were in your current position but don’t get caught up in trying to res- cue them. This month dream, laugh, sing, meditate, paddle a canoe, roll around in sand or satin.

the smaller budget movies is also a factor and this was certainly no different. Films done on this level are often the screaming efforts of writers and directors (not unlikely to be the same person) Who have labored to bring to life a story that has alarmingly significant meaning for them, either in the story, the di- alogue style, or the relationships... It’s usually a safe assumption that some writer was working through things as they wrote it.

That being said, this film (written and directed by John Tuturro) does have some finger prints of a mid- dle aged man’s fantasy dilemma. A humble, unassuming man from Brooklyn winds up with a full plate as he becomes an increasingly pop- ular gigolo to an ever widening cli- entele. Once you can get past that little fantasy the film embraces the sweetest moments of conversation, consistently sets scenes in an un- matched, beautiful city, and keeps the protagonist soft spoken enough to really only serve as a vessel for other characters to be explained in reflection.

The soundtrack is smooth and

warm, often feeling like someone in the theater is playing a record near you. The director trusts his ac- tors enough to let them act mostly with their eyes. I was actually quite blown away at how many emo- tional scenes were triumphantly executed by appropriate pauses and knowing looks. The short version is “yes” I am

saying “go see this movie” The understated acting, uncomplicated storytelling, and genuine perfor- mances seem to serve as a wonder- ful reminder that the story doesn’t have to be complicated and if the characters are well represented so much can be done with so little.

circles, green thumb stuck be- tween his teeth like a cigar, was the one kid in the class that DID NOT need any extra energy. I’m sure his parents wondered why he didn’t sleep for two days. So there you are. If even one parent can avoid some of my mistakes I’ll be happy. For the rest, don’t worry if you mess up. We all do. I was starting kindergarten

and would have been happy to wear my overalls and worn out boots to this place called school, but my mom thought I ought to look kind of like a girl. I’ve wished at times I could have raised my kids on a working ranch, and that they could have experienced the kind of free- dom that I did. Fortunately, we live in a beautiful place where in a few minutes we can be in the country and I’m pretty sure they are okay about not muck- ing out livestock pens before breakfast.
