Phone your local fire station. NSW Fire Brigade installs smoke alarms or batteries for seniors age 65+ with limited domestic support. Annual visits to check the operation of the alarm and change the battery. Cost of alarm and batteries is the responsibility of the client.

Personal Alarm Systems
Personal emergency alarm monitoring via a waterproof alarm, worn as around the neck, links the user to the monitoring centre's staff using an existing telephone line or wireless technology. When the personal alarm is pressed, it activates an alarm in the response centre, and operators speedily organise assistance of either family, friend or emergency services.
