VOLUNTEER SERVICE
Phone: 9424 0970 This service links you with volunteering jobs in not-for-profit agencies that assist older people and people with a disability. Volunteer opportunities include Meals on Wheels, Easy Care Gardening, community visiting and transporting people to medical appointments.

Centrelink, Veterans’ Affairs Concession Card Holders or those who can demonstrate financial hardship may be eligible for a rate rebate. Contact: Customer Service for information.

WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Assistance to collect garbage bins from the property of people who are physically unable to move their bins to the kerb. To apply, write to the General Manager - you must include a medical certificate.
ACTIVE KU-RING-GAI PROGRAM
Phone: 9424 0754 Activities to encourage people of all fitness levels to participate in physical activity. Activities include Gym Without Walls, Social Tennis, Pilates in the Park, Tai Chi, Yoga, Walking Groups and Ballroom Dance.

Free service for Ku-ring-gai residents who find it difficult to get to the library. The libraribus collects you at your home and takes you to the nearest Ku-ring- gai Branch Library for 40 minutes. You can also visit nearby shops for groceries and other shopping.

The library has a range of large print books for those who find regular print too small or not clear enough.
