Finalists amaze at Haines Watts Young Entrepreneur competition
17-year old Jack Greetham, representing the Surrey and Hampshire region, wowed the judges at the 2013 Haines Watts Young Entrepreneur of the Year finals. He won the competition, despite being up against finalists of an extremely high calibre
The teenager showed tremendous confidence when presenting his business, Just Right Goods, to the judges, which sells tablet PCs, mobile phone cases and all types of gadget accessories online. Sales are generated through eBay and its own e-commerce website and Greetham focuses on sourcing products in countries such as China, to be able to offer quality products at the lowest possible price.
The Haines Watts Young Entrepreneur finals were held in Reading and the standard of candidates was the highest in the event’s history. The other amazing finalists, who represented Haines Watts’ offices from around the Thames Valley, were: Alex Minchin of Zest Digital, Carina Evans of Dog Rocks Distribution and Katy Hymas of Mumlin.
'The Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition has gone from strength to strength...'
Minchin’s company, Zest Digital, is a digital marketing specialist; Evans distributes Dog Rocks to wholesalers, retailers and consumers; while Hymas’ business, Mumlin, produces and sells an innovative and practical alternative to a muslin to protect clothes when burping baby.
John Bailey, chairman of the judges, said: “Congratulations to all of our talented finalists, who are inspirational in their determination, innovation and passion for their businesses. Each gave a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style presentation at the finals and were asked searching questions relating to finances and prospects, which were well tackled by all of them. Greetham, in particular, showed tremendous business acumen, despite being just 17.”
