» Facility Profile
opening the doors to the communi- ty, Adams and her family took a quick moment to remember her father, feel his absence and honour his belief that Adams would be successful. With people waiting outside, the doors were opened and the energy that defines The Social Club began. The grand opening had been a much anticipat- ed event, and people came in droves. Staff, family and committed friends toured everyone through the facility, answered questions, and shared the vi- sion that The Social Club was meant to be. To say that people liked The Social
Club would be a wild understatement. People’s mouths dropped at every turn. From the calcite stone candles in the foyer, to the chandeliers everywhere, to the gleaming hardwood floors, the
vintage tin, and the marble and glass shower suites, it was clear The Social Club wasn’t an average gym. The treadmills, elipticals and
strength training equipment is the most current available. A stone water feature sits against a wall in the main room of the 4,000 square foot facil- ity and was built by a talented friend in memory of Adams’s father. Instead of building a solid wall between the equipment area and the studio, she commissioned a company to build a wall of salvaged doors and windows. Some date back as far as the 1800s. Adams likes what the wall repre-
sents. The old and the new and the light. All of the classes from yoga to
