A good place

for small firms TONBRIDGE and Malling is a good place to do business, ac- cording to statistics compiled by KCC officials. Despite the economic down-

Business survival rates in the borough are strong when com- pared to Kent and the whole of Britain. For example, 65% of new businesses in the borough survive to three years com- pared to only 61% in Kent and 57% nationally. Service industries dominate

in the borough, with less than 10% of all staff employed in manufacturing and agriculture.
