Vanishing school head still absent

He left after inspectors who visited in March said they had found no improvements at the school since their previous visit in January. Mr Temple, who had been head at the school for seven

LADIES at Larkfield have formed a newclub which is going from strength to strength. Larkfield Women’s Club was launched in July and meets in Church Farm Hall, New Hythe Lane, at 8pm on Wednesdays. The club, part of the Na-

Gardeners’ reward for going wild GREEN-fingered residents from Tonbridge and Malling were re- warded for their efforts at the annualWild About Gardens awards. Twenty winners were presented with certificates for making their gardens more environ- mentally friendly and welcoming to wildlife. The scheme is run


with Kent Wildlife Trust and the Royal Horticultural Society and is open to any size of garden. Maureen Rainey from Kent Wildlife Trust said: “We received over 300 entries this year, most of which were from first-time entrants, small, urban and new garden- ers, which is great for Kent and its wildlife.” Malling winners were: Gold: Richard Bowles, Leybourne; Chris Lawton, East Peckham.
