Help our campsite appeal

Malling Scouts have recently launched a project to raise £25,000 to purchase the campsite that they lease in Seven Mile Lane, Mereworth. They are currently looking for grants or donations to assist in reaching their target.

One of their main activities that is enjoyed by all and teaches so many skills to young people is camping. Carefully managed, the purchase will ensure the facility for future generations of young people in Scouting and associated youth group communities in

Malling and surrounding areas and will enable them to develop the opportunities they can offer within the framework of a back to basics campsite.

Malling Scouts provides activities for over 1,000 boys and girls in the Malling area covering Ightham, Borough Green, Platt, West Malling, East Malling, Mereworth and Kings Hill, Larkfield, Leybourne, Aylesford, Ditton and Snodland.

One of the fundraising projects is the newly formed Friends of Comp Wood

who are holding a quiz night on Saturday, November 23, at the Wolfe Hall at Holmesdale Technology College, Snodland. The evening starts at 7.30pm for 7.45pm and tickets are £5 each, including a soup kitchen supper. Join the “Friends” at their first event and bring a team of up to six people, or come and join a team.
