The Inn at Torbrex Stirling


Opened in July 2013, this former 18th century coaching inn has been given a new lease of life thanks to owners Ross and Michelle Henderson. Working with Design Build Deliver, the couple has created an atmospheric, welcoming space that has not only surpassed initial sales projections by 50% but, most importantly, meets the local community’s need for a family friendly ‘village pub’ that serves top- notch food and drink.


Pilgrim Bar Edinburgh


Located just off the Cowgate, Pilgrim was specifically designed to create as small a carbon footprint as possible. From its quirky bar made from discarded suitcases through to the second-hand denim used to cover its bench seating, almost 98% of the materials sourced for the project were salvaged or recycled. Since opening its doors in May, the bar has been operating profitably thanks to a clientele of young back-packers.

The Torrance Hotel East Kilbride


Under the ownership of Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group, the Torrance Hotel has been totally transformed but crucially – for a building in a conservation area – still retains its original character and charm.
