Social Responsibility Award
Campus Glasgow
Safety has been at the heart of student venue Campus since it opened in 2005 and it remains the top priority today. A rigorous staff training programme, substantial CCTV and security systems and involvement in city-wide safety initiatives reflect its commitment to responsible operating. Campus also has around 50,000 people registered on its ID scanner and a bus service to take clubbers back to student halls of residence.
Edinburgh
With a capacity of around 2500 students across four different buildings, the team at Edinburgh University Students’ Association has its work cut out. But a series of robust systems and procedures alongside regular staff training sessions ensures the venues under the EUSA umbrella operate
smoothly and safely. The
students’ association also plays a key role in the community through its volunteering and advice services.
