INTRODUCTION

LEAD ARTICLE THE

DOGGER BANK PROJECT

IT IS NOW JUST OVER A YEAR SINCE WE FEATURED OUR FIRST ARTICLE ON THE DOGGER BANK PROJECT WHICH WILL MAKE MOST OTHER OFFSHORE WIND ENERGY WIND FARMS LOOK DECIDEDLY SMALL IN COMPARISON.

We take another look at progress and will feature the project all the way through to completion at appropriate intervals.

ORBISENERGY CENTRE Seldom do we feature buildings on our front cover however we hope you will agree that the OrbisEnergy Centre deserves star billing. We focus on the centre and its tenants within a substantial ‘Spotlight on…’ within this edition.

WORKING TOGETHER – HOULDER, IMH & MPI OFFSHORE Yet again we feature companies working together to ensure successful outcomes – the article opening our Offshore Logistics feature stands as a very good example of the innovative and positive approach to the challenges we face on a daily basis.

FEATURES – GET INVOLVED The magazine continues to grow and it is now commonplace to see separate features on all sorts of areas within the industry. These features emanate from our discussions with leading experts in the industry during our visits to conferences and events, as well as our editorial team bringing up subject areas when looking at the industry as a whole.

Please feel free to contact us if there is any subject area which you think may be of interest to our readership and we will do the rest – there is never any charge for genuine editorial.

You will find our ‘Forthcoming Features’ tab on our website in the magazine section or scan the QR code at the bottom of this page.

MAGAZINE AND WEBSITE INTERACTION – QR CODES Yet another reminder that we have changed our pink and green flashes indicating more information online. QR codes have been substituted in the printed version which means that you can scan the code with your smart phone and it will direct you to the featured company or organisation micropage held within our website, so that you can learn much more in all sorts of formats.

These have already become very popular as it links the printed magazine in a very interactive way – a great marketing tool for our decision making readership to find out about products and services following the reading of an interesting article.

RENEWABLEUK 2013 – BIRMINGHAM, UK The conference and exhibition in early November will again showcase the leaders in the industry in both show halls and conference rooms.

We will be present on all 3 days so please get in touch if you would like to get involved in the publication – remember there is never any charge for genuine editorial which will help the industry.

Please note that the Jury’s Inn are offering a special deal on accommodation for our readers. See more on page 55.
