to your cold cut menu. MCL: Are fashions changing in what people eat at Christmas? PP: At the core of Christmas fashion is the getting together of friends and family enjoy a few days at which food is central. Turkey is still the most popular but I think more and more people are buying what they really enjoy, perhaps moving away a little from the traditional. MCL: How should we go about ordering our Christmas meat from you? Is there a time limit etc? PP: Orders are being taken from November 1 up until December 21. Although we endevour to meet all requirments as accurately as possible, the earliest orders often get the first pick. We are distributing brochures for our customers to take away and fill in. These can be found within any of our shops. MCL: What about other festive meals? Boxing Day etc? What would you recommend for those? PP: As previously mentioned cold cuts, ham, handmade
pork & cranberry pie MCL: And New Year? Is there something special we should consider for a meal to welcome in 2014? PP: New Year is commonly being celebrated in a similar way to Christmas with a focus being put on a centre piece meal. Turkey is still popular although other roasing joints are popular – a less commonly thought of roast at this time of year is lamb – at this time of year lamb is still deliiocusly tender but with more flavour! MCL: What other things do you offer? PP: Speciality sausages and delicious homecured bacon, gourmet stuffing balls & cocktail sausages - specially selected cranberry sauces, stuffings etc MCL: Anything else you think we need to know? PP: Produce is personally selected by our suppliers to ensure that we end up with the best product. It is quality controlled by our master butchers and prepared as per individual requirement.
