Great new gadget This past summer was great for
toying with new gadgets. This year I had the chance to try-out a handful of new products. Magellan’s new SmartGPS
I recently field-tested proves that, no matter how intelligent your current global positioning system is, developers are still seeking ways to make them smarter. To gain more insight into
this new unit, Magellan had one of their product gurus walk me through its many incredible features. Destinations and Points of Interest, for example, can be sent to this GPS from your smart phone. You can text a point of interest
and it will magically be funneled from your smart phone into the SmartGPS. I liked the fact you can lay out an entire fishing or hunting trip from your office, if you like, and have the important spots mapped along the way, without even having the GPS in your hand. Both the SmartGPS hardware
and app can be synced-up to a dedicated Magellan portal known as MiCloud, where users go online to lay-out a travel route. Man, what else will they think of! For more information on the new
