Angela was appointed to the position of Director Community Services in 2001. Angela worked for a number of rural and regional Councils prior to joining Horsham Rural City Council.


Areas of Responsibility: Angela is responsible for the management of Council’s community and human service programs. She is also responsible for Council’s business enterprises.


Services include: Access and Inclusion, Aged and Disability Services, Child and Family Services, Community Development, Cultural Services, Emergency Recovery, Environmental Health and Youth Services. Angela also has direct responsibility for the management of Council’s business enterprises including the Horsham Aquatic Centre and Centre Cinema and the Wimmera Regional Library Corporation.


Registration of 220 food premises (100%) 74 health inspections conducted (88%)


Support, information and advice provided to 261 newborn babies and their families


161,837 attendances at Horsham Aquatic Centre 11,162 attendances at the Horsham Regional Art Gallery, Jubilee Hall (38 per cent increase on the previous year)


Over 10,000 attendances at 63 events held at the Wesley Performing Arts Centre


Delivery of eight exhibitions at the Horsham Regional Art Gallery involving the work of 31 artists including nine from our region


71 education programs delivered by Horsham Regional Art Gallery to 1,192 students from across the region


Delivery of “Writing on the Wall” – an arts project involving young people from cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds (see page 21)


Installation of the Horsham Entrance Sculpture “Concentric” (see page 21)


Successful renovation of Robin Street Kindergarten and Maternal and Child Health Centre to improve access to services (see page 29)


Opening of new kindergarten room at Green Park Kindergarten (see page 29)


Public Art Policy review consultation undertaken
