Friday 6th September Off The Page- Stirling Book Festival Peter Carroll - local crime author. Peter is a forty-something Scotsman who lives in Dunblane. His books are often tough, violent and littered with sweary words, but also laced with humour and inventive word play. So far, he has three novels published, and a bunch of other ideas waiting in the wings. Dunblane Library from 7.30-9pm, tickets £5.00/£4.00

Saturday 7th September, German Bookbug session in Dunblane Library at 10.45am


• Sunday 8th September, Forth Valley Friends of Scottish Opera. The new season opens with Don Giovanni, the latest in a series of Mozart operas to be directed by the great singer and director Sir Thomas Allen. We will hear about this new production from Dafydd Burne-Jones, Staff Director, who is working with Sir Tom on the project. All very welcome. 2.30 pm, Smith Art Gallery and Museum, Stirling. Members £5, Visitors £6, Students £1.
