We started off the year planting primroses in all the tubs throughout Dunblane. They flowered non stop brightening up the High Street and the Station Platform for months. We cleaned and got the poly-tunnel ready for planting hundreds of begonias in trays from last year, for this years summer tubs.

We have collected outside M&S in the cold. A few of our stalwart members manned a stall at the Fling with home baking and raffle where they raised an amazing £360 while the rest of us were away for the Bank Holiday. Shame on us...

The star of all our hard work has got to be the Community Garden/Rockery this has, with the support of the Rock Garden Club, been an enormous success.

men in the group have built walls and paths to a tremendously high standard. Everyday you go past the colours change and get even better as the planting matures.

As one lady

passing said ‘there should be a signpost at the Cathedral to this. It is a real Dunblane treasure.’ That is what makes giving up your Sundays throughout the year a pleasure.

Our group goes from strength to strength and one only has to ask what next. Whatever it is it will be fun and with plenty of chat.

There is always a sting in the tail and it is of course money. We have to raise it ourselves! It is never a great time to ask for money and at the moment it is really hard. We know this, which makes any donation to Dunblane in Bloom extra special and which we as a group would like to thank all our supporters from the bottom of our hearts.

We just cannot do it without your help and support. Please dig deep and help us to keep Dunblane even more beautiful.
