10k brings repeat win and course record Town Talk


SNODLAND’S annual 10k road race was won by Simon Parrin, of Istead Rise, for the second consecutive year. His time for the event – the 11th– was 37mins 03 secs. The first woman home, in second place overall, was Maria Heslop, of Tonbridge, witha time of 38mins 32 secs – a course record. Race director Dave Keeley praised the standard of run- ning “in perfect weather con- ditions” but said he was disappointed withthe low turn-out.
