Digging Deep at Dunorlan Park with Tunbridge Wells Museum


Find out about life 1,000 years ago by visiting the camp of Saxon and Viking re-enactors. Have a go at candle-rolling, try on a warrior’s helmet, make a braid and much more. The free, drop-in activity takes place

July 21 – August 12 Sculpture In The Gardens Godinton House, Ashford


This is Godinton’s eighth annual exhibition of contemporary work by artists of the South East. The sculptures are displayed throughout the 12 acres of


gardens and include a trail through the wild garden where mature trees, swaying grasses and the reflections of a large wild pond make the perfect backdrop.


July 27 - Aug 12 Medieval Games Leeds Castle, Maidstone


Visit Leeds Castle for some real English games. Enjoy a variety of demonstrations and displays, including twice-daily jousting tournaments, and have a go at traditional sports from the Middle Ages.


July 28 Walk Ten Kent Sissinghurst Castle


Light up the night for Marie Curie Nurses with a 10K walk with a difference. Enjoy a twilight stroll and soak


up the rich atmosphere of the castle with its stunning views of the Kentish landscape. Explore the woods, farmland


and streams surrounding the grand Elizabethan house while the sun sets and raise money to help the continuing provision of care for terminally ill patients. After the walk, join the festival-like atmosphere to celebrate the work of local Marie Curie nurses with live music and family entertainment. The evening will end with a fireworks display.
